  • Historical Note: This was taken from the roof top of the J. D. Cowan house near Cumberland Avenue on the University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville. It shows the "monster tent" with a capacity of 15,000, which was erected for the "Reunion of the Blue and Gray" held on October 8 and 9, 1890.
